The hotel sits at 2,300 m above sea level on the slopes of the Küngey Ala-Too range, among the pine forests of Karakol National Park.
The region's unique climate is shaped by nearby unfrozen Lake Issyk-Kul. In winter, daytime temperatures rarely fall below -5 °C, and abundant sunny days let guests enjoy skiing and mountain sunshine at the same time.

Karakol ski base history
The Karakol ski base has a rich history — in Soviet times, athletes from the USSR Olympic team trained here.
Today it is one of Central Asia's best ski centres. Since 2009 the slopes have been served by four modern chairlifts: two triple and two double.
Freeride & active leisure
Off-piste routes through forest sections and untouched east-facing snow slopes are available for advanced skiers.
Snowmobile transfers to remote skiing areas can be arranged for deep-snow and freeride enthusiasts.

- 1From Bishkek: 6–7 hours by road via the southern shore of Issyk-Kul (Bokonbayevo → Barskoon → Karakol).
- 2From Karakol town: 20 minutes uphill to the hotel and ski lifts.
