About Chunkurchak
Chunkurchak (also spelled Chon-Tash or Chunkur-Chak) is the closest major ski base to Bishkek — about 30 km south of the city and roughly 45 minutes by road. That makes it one of the most practical options in Kyrgyzstan for a same-day ski trip without overnight travel.
The resort sits in a scenic mountain valley at around 2,200 metres, with open slopes suited to beginners and intermediate skiers. Lifts and runs operate during the winter season, typically from mid-December through March, depending on snow conditions.
Because it is so close to the capital, Chunkurchak is popular with locals and visitors who want a quick taste of Kyrgyzstan's mountains — whether it is your first time on skis or you only have one free day in Bishkek.

Bishkek → Chunkurchak → Bishkek
